May 2, 2024(2 events) – The Chimes Choir will play while the Intergen choir sings with us on May 5 on Music Sunday. I am in the process of arranging the music. The piece is "Let there be peace on earth." On May 5 we will practice prior to the service sometime between 9 and 9:30. Other groups need to practice so we will wait to hear when our exact call time is that day.
We will practice this Thursday April 18 from 6:00-7:15.
Then we have a week off.
We will practice Thursday May 2 from 6:15-7:45. Spirit singers will join us at 7:30 so we can practice with them for 15 minutes. We will probably have a break from 7:20-7:30 when the choir is arriving. We should be able to leave the tables up and chimes out after this practice.
We will practice prior to the service on May 5 at a time to be determined.
Please confirm your availability in the next couple of days. If you are a first time chimer-no worries. We love new members and will show you how to do it!
One tricky thing about chime choir is that we need all the people present (or subs) in order to practice effectively. It is particularly important to be present at our rehearsal Thurs May 2 when we put it together with the singers.
Debbie Sisco has offered to be the assistant director for the chimes choir. She may reach out to you for follow up. if you want to arrive early to help set the tables, stands, binders and chimes on a Thursday eve you can contact her. Her email is dsisco17@gmail.com and her cell is 610-316-8094.

Are rituals only seemingly senseless acts, or are they an important way to give our life more meaning? Or both? And what makes a ritual either this or that? Is there a difference between ritual and tradition? Sorry, but Rev. Gabi will not have a comprehensive, all-inclusive answer for those questions. However, she will try to explore what it is about rituals that make them either weird or very important. Come ready to participate. The Reverend Dr. Gabriele Parks came to the United States from Germany in 1991, with her husband Roger and her then six-year-old twins. She felt the call to UU ministry and went to Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2001 where she received her Master of Divinity degree. Since then, she has served five congregations as an intentional interim minister; now called transition minister. In 2015, she went back to seminary where she graduated with the Doctor of Ministry in the field of Narrative Theology. She served her congregation in York, Pennsylvania, until her retirement in February of 2019. UCWC – The Integenerational Choir will sing on RE Sunday June 2nd. We will practice Sunday May 19 at 11:15 in the sanctuary. Singers 4 years old and above are encouraged to join us. Our song has motions and will be easy for non-readers to sing. No choir experience is needed to join us. Contact Abby McGillivray with questions or if you would like to view a video of this song. Thanks. May 26, 2024(1 event) – In-person & Live-stream. Sparked by scientific research and Robin’s personal experiences, this provocative program invites you to open to new ways of thinking, feeling, and being. This is an exploration of a new way of prayer as a non-religious, non-beseeching practice. As the song goes, “The times, they are a changin’!” Robin offers examples of how it is possible to move through adversity and invoke grace by tuning in, listening, and acting from your heart. Robin Reichert is an author, storyteller, speaker, artist, mystic, retired massage therapist, and body-centered psychotherapy practitioner. She implements her storytelling skills as a lay liturgist and Sunday service presenter for Unitarian Universalist and other churches. In 2011 Robin participated in the 25th anniversary of the World Interfaith Summit for Peace and Justice in Assisi, Italy. Her most recent book, Diary of a Man Called Jesus - His Life and Missing Years, a Novel, offers a surprising new slant on a 2000 year old story. She also authored Earth Divine – Adventures of an Everyday Mystic, Feather Gifts for All Ages, and has one storytelling CD Mystic – Stories of Wonder and Magic. UCWC |
