In her book “Living With a Wild God,” the late Barabara Ehrenreich of blessed
memory, one of the world’s most devout athiests, exhorts that while we hold onto the
logical and rational, it would be a great mistake to ignore the stray bit of data that
doesn't fit into your preconceived theories, that may even confound everything you
thought you were sure of – and invites us to hold open for the wild possibility of
mystery, to dare to discover it in our common experience, to listen for the call coming
from within.
