While our US democracy has always been far from perfect, powerful forces today are rolling back voting rights, weaponizing lies and entrenching a rigged political system. How do our UU values call on us to respond? Join us as we explore the history of voting rights and voter suppression in our country, discuss the condition of our democracy today, why democracy is a core value of UU’s, and what can be done to make our system work better for all Americans. After the Service, stay for a “Braver Angels” session whose mission is to overcome the great political divide in our country.
