UCWC boasts a wide variety of musical offerings, both to enhance our Sunday Services and to strengthen connections with the communities we serve. We’re proud to have long been a venue for outstanding performances of classical, folk and popular music. More recently our commitment has grown to actively embrace a wide spectrum of musical expression on Sundays and at other select times.

Spirit Singers

Our adult choir is a diverse and exciting group who meet to create great music and to be in wonderful fellowship with each other throughout the year. The choir, all of whom are volunteers, sings once a month from September through May. We always welcome newcomers. All singers, high school age and older, are welcome to join. Music reading is not a prerequisite and no audition is needed.

The Spirit Singers perform a diverse repertoire of music from around the world. A high level of performance is sought in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. Your participation is welcomed.

The choir is led by Miriam Davidson, who also serves as our Music Director and the Artistic Director of Anna Crusis Women’s Choir in Philadelphia. The choir rehearses on most Thursday evenings from 7:15-9:15. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Miriam at: email: choir

Intergen Choir

Join the UCWC kids in song. Several times a year at Intergen services, this choir — made of RE kids, parents, friends and the Spirit Singers — comes together to learn a piece or two. Contact Abby McGillivray at email: intergen-choir.

Chime Choir

Fun for adults and kids! Chime Choir often plays at an Intergen and other special services. Parts are assigned according to ability. Extra rehearsal time is needed. Contact Abby McGillivray at email: chimes.

Instant Choir

Love to sing, but can’t commit to regular rehearsals? Several times a year, you can join us early on Sunday morning to learn the music we will sing that same day. No previous rehearsals. Watch for the announcements in Connections and just show up.
