O.W.L. (Our Whole Lives)

Our Whole Lives helps middle school students make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips them with accurate, age-appropriate information in human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture.

The program was developed jointly by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. We have offered the program regularly since it was published in 1990.

A Holistic View

Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but it also helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.

Trained Adult Facilitators

Adult O.W.L. facilitators attend a three-day training to prepare for leading the class. Parents will be invited to an orientation, which is required to enroll your child.
